However the temple management should ensure adequate safety measures on Crowd management within the temple shrine during heavy rush hours. The flag hoisting ceremony in the evening just before sunset is a must watch. Everyone should have the bhog (prasad) after Darshan and before leaving the temple complex. Its a simple mini meal of dal n rice and a sweet. PS : I could not add pictures of temple complex here as phone was deposited at the time of entering the temple complex for security measures.

This is very powerfull and holy temple with great history. We had a very good darshan of Lord Jagannath. There are numerous temples gods and goddesses in the premises. We also saw the Flag changing ceremony between 4-5 PM which is a must watch, the pandits carry flags to the top of the temple and replace old flag with new ones every day.

On my recent visit I experienced such a wonder upgrade in the complex surrounding the temple. There’s such a wonderful crowd management now. There are washrooms and stalls for keeping phones and shoes for free inside the complex. Overall the experience has been really good.
