This was an absolute amazing find in Guwahati. When my dining partners suggested drinks and dinner, seriously did not expect to find such a high end fine dine bar. The food are interesting, tasty and in line with how the place looks. Selection of cocktails are not bad as well with some interesting local creations. For those that are tired of street dining or local food, this is a definite must try and an overall great place to chill and unwind.

Korean Chicken Wings: The flavour was great, but the sauce made the wings a bit soggy, taking away the crunch we were expecting. Salmon Katsu Sushi: Well made, fresh, and enjoyable. Spicy Chicken Katsu Sushi: The flavours were good, but the texture was a bit dry. Pork Ribs: One of the best dishes of the night—tender, well-seasoned, and beautifully complemented by broccoli and asparagus. However, the asparagus wasn’t properly cleaned, and the outer layer on the stem was dry and chewy. The staff were attentive, polite, and made the experience smooth and comfortable. Overall, The Maroon Room offers a wonderful ambience, good food, and great service. 100% for effort, but there’s still room for improvement—mainly in consistency and attention to detail with certain dishes. Still, it’s a place worth visiting for a pleasant dining experience.

We had a lovely time. The food and ambience was perfect and the service was quite good. The tuna sushi with butterfly pea rice roll was lovely. The tuna was fresh and sushi was perfectly balanced. We also had the salmon sashimi and it was quite nice. The crab tempura was also nicely cooked albeit a bit oily. The crunch was nice and the crab was fresh. The smoked uncle tam cocktail was a 10/10. I was there with my family for dinner. The service was impressively quick, and the place had a lovely vibe. The menu was well curated. We got the dark mushrooms and fried calamari for starters, and then for mains, we tried the spicy salmon sushi and peanut sauce noodles. I was somehow expecting the food to be mind blowing. But it turned out to be fairly average and lacked the flair I was hoping for. The presentation too felt quite uninspired, as if not much thought had gone into it. That said, I’ve ordered their dumplings on Swiggy a couple of times - i absolutely loved those and are genuinely worth trying.
