Had the spring roll dosa. That was super tasty too crispy and filling was delicious. Also loved their rahil special dosa with paneer and dry fruits filling. Loved the spring roll dosa so much. Previously had their maharaja thali which was so delicious. The rava dosa was so nice and crisp. It was fulfilling and has nice filling of aloo masala, paneer and dry fruits. The hot idli sambhar is the best thing to have in winters so tasty. The uttpam was also hot, fresh and nice.
This is one of the oldest and most loved restaurants in Varanasi. While the city has seen a surge of modern cafés and eateries in recent years, this place still holds a very special charm and continues to attract a loyal crowd. Truly, old is gold! I’ve been visiting this restaurant for years and have tried almost everything on the menu — from snacks to full meals — and the taste has always remained consistent and satisfying. The food here has that authentic, homely flavor which makes it stand out from many new places. I have countless memories connected with this place — from casual hangouts with friends to family dinners, every visit has been memorable. Today, I ordered through Zomato, and even the delivery experience was smooth. The food quality and taste were just as good as dining in. I’ll definitely share pictures soon! Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience good food, a nostalgic atmosphere, and a taste that has stood the test of time.
Delicious Food with Great Hospitality. One of the best Restaurant in Varanasi. Highly Recommended to those who are looking for pure Veg Restaurant and love south indian and North Indian Food.
Rahil Restaurant shows an impressive 4.2 rating with 21k+ reviews on Swiggy, which initially looks very promising. However, my experience was far from what those numbers suggest. The food I received was poor in quality, tasted stale, and felt undercooked. The paneer dish in particular had a strange smell and bitterness, clearly not fresh. After checking other platforms, I noticed the difference—on Google it averages ~3.7 and on TripAdvisor only ~3.5, where diners also complain of oily food and even indigestion. This makes me feel the high Swiggy numbers don’t reflect the actual dining or delivery experience. Overall, I found the food quality disappointing and not worth the hype. While the restaurant might be popular on delivery apps, I would strongly advise caution—don’t trust the inflated ratings blindly.
At Rathyatra area in front of Rope-way station Named Rathyatra Had breakfast here, preparations had ordinary taste, specially chole bhature. Not crowded may be due to less popular. Also runs hotel for stay.
This was my first time in this restaurant. I was there for lunch with my mother after reading good reviews on Google. I tried special chhole bhature and it was not worth, there was no need to use paneer in chhole ( I think which made their chhole bhature special), raita was very sweet which was unexpectedly bad. Overall, not a good experience, I think they need to focus more on authenticity of the food, chief needs to understand the recipe well. All the very best for future. But not recommended this restaurant for chhole bhature.
Dined here for lunch. Ambience - ok. (The right side of the table chair arrangement are more spacious than the left one) We ordered - 1. Tandoori Roti - 5/5 - It was very good 2. Butter Roti - 5/5 - Butter was spread evenly. 3. Butter naan - 5/5 - fluffy and buttery as expected. 4. Veg Seekh kabab - 2/5 - Disappointed as it was not worth it. For Rs 175, you get ~ 8 dry pieces of tandoori cooked veg patty (shape was similar to your finger). Not worth it. 5. Paneer chilli dry - 3.5/5 - We requested dry and spicy. It was coated fine but the vegetables were burnt. Capsicum's taste was not very good. 6. Paneer Tikka Dry - 2/5 - Disappointed with this as well. The masala coating tasted just sour and not spicy. Way to much garnish of raw onions. (Note that you'll get only 6 pieces of Paneer unlike 8 at other places I have been to) 7. Panner Butter Masala - 5/5 - This was very good. The gravy tasted delicious and paired better with Tandoori Roti 8. Paneer Achari - 6/5 - This was my favourite. Got that achari taste in the curry. It was really good. Overall the Bread and Main course was really good. The starters were a bit disappointing. I suggest go for Roti and main course curry.
