The haldi, mehndi, and bridal makeup were absolutely beautiful. The staff is very cooperative and professional. Kavita does saree draping extremely well. Extremely disappointing experience – please reconsider before booking We booked Glimpse Studio, Jhansi for groom makeup on the wedding day and bridal makeup for the reception. Unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely disappointing and stressful due to a highly undertrained and unprofessional team. On the wedding day, the groom makeup started around 8 PM, and shockingly, the team took 2.5 hours just to set the stole—and still failed to do it properly. We repeatedly requested the team to be honest and let us know if they were unable to handle it, so we could arrange help from someone else. Each time, we were assured “bas 5–10 minutes aur”, which turned into 2.5 hours of false hope and wasted time. Despite having three so-called trained professionals, they were unable to do a simple stole draping. Finally, out of frustration, we requested the bride’s makeup artist, who completed the stole perfectly in just 5 minutes. When this issue was brought to the attention of the studio owner, Shailja, instead of taking responsibility, the blame was shifted onto us. We were told it was our mistake for not bringing a pre-draped stole. If that was a requirement, it should have been clearly communicated beforehand or at least at 8 PM, rather than letting the team waste crucial wedding time. The situation was further justified by stating that they had done makeup for “some CA guy” earlier and he liked it, so everyone should like their work. That groom had a pre-draped stole, so apparently, we were expected to know this without being informed. In short, all responsibility was shifted onto the groom, and the makeup team was given a clean chit. As for the makeup quality, it was equally disappointing—honestly, a no-makeup look would have been better. After two days of poor experience and unsatisfactory makeup for the groom and four female members from the groom’s side, we decided to cancel the bridal reception makeup, as we did not want to risk ruining the reception party as well. PS: If you are already booked with Glimpse Studio and are told “next makeup will be better” or “Shailja ma’am will personally do it”, please reconsider immediately. Our wedding shoot was completely spoiled due to this experience. None of our family members were happy with the makeup. Please think carefully before booking and save your special day.

The pedicure service was absolutely fantastic! The staff took their time and made sure every detail was perfect. The foot massage was heavenly….I felt so relaxed afterward! Definitely my go-to salon from now on

In response to the reply on my review : I’m extremely disappointed — not just by the poor bridal makeup service, but even more by the false and misleading response from the parlour trying to shift blame onto us instead of accepting responsibility for the poor experience. Dismissing every unhappy customer by blaming them doesn’t help your business in the long run. Yes, we had booked your services earlier, and that’s exactly why we trusted you again — because we expected consistent professionalism. But this time, the outcome was far from satisfactory, and no amount of excuses about “cooperation” or venue issues can justify poor quality makeup, especially for such an important occasion , which is why this review was necessary. To clarify a few important facts: • The two rooms being on different floors was clearly communicated to your team two days prior to the wedding. You had full knowledge of the setup and agreed to proceed, so raising it now as an excuse is misleading. • The artists arrived at the venue at 7:30 PM and rushed through every person’s makeup. There was no attention to detail, and despite the poor quality and hurried work, they charged full prices without hesitation. • You falsely claimed your staff stayed until 11:30 PM doing makeup. This is a lie — the bride’s photoshoot started at 10:00 PM and the baraat arrived at 11:00 PM. So there’s no question of your team working till 11:30. The timeline you provided doesn’t even add up. • Your team being on-site till late night or whatever time you claimed was not because of our mismanagement — it was because your artists were constantly on phone while doing the makeup and struggled with the makeup, had to redo parts of it, and were unprepared and slow. That delay was entirely from your side. • The quality of makeup products used was subpar — the finish was patchy, the base was cakey, and it started fading within a few hours. For a bridal makeup, this is unacceptable and shows either lack of expertise or poor product choice. • Regarding water and hospitality, our family offered refreshments multiple times, and your team was never mistreated. These allegations are untrue and feel like an emotional deflection. We were polite, cooperative, and even tried to manage despite the delays and mess. But blaming us for your team’s inefficiency, lack of preparation, and poor-quality work is unprofessional. Lastly, professionalism means delivering quality work regardless of minor hiccups, not writing long blame-filled replies when receiving valid criticism. We didn’t “post in anger”; we posted to warn others about the risks of booking makeup for critical events without proper assurance. Please take this as constructive feedback. Instead of justifying poor service by attacking the client, consider improving your team’s readiness and skills for high-stakes events like weddings. —————————————————————— —————————————————————— I had a terrible experience with Glimpse by Shailja for my and my bride’s wedding day makeup. We had clearly shared references and expectations well in advance, but the final result was completely different — dull, patchy, and unflattering. The bride’s makeup looked cakey and did not suit her skin tone at all. It started fading within a few hours and made her look tired in most of our wedding photos. Despite charging premium rates, the products used didn’t seem professional or long-lasting. The attitude of the makeup artist was also unprofessional and rushed. I expected care and attention to detail on such an important day, but unfortunately, that was missing entirely. I do not recommend this parlour for bridal makeup services — especially for something as important as a wedding.
