Very Disappointing and Illogical Portioning We visited Baati Chokha, Gorakhpur (Tara Mandal) for a dinner and ordered their ₹260 combo thali. The biggest issue was the extremely insufficient quantity of dal and chokha, which honestly makes no sense for a baati-style thali. When you serve baati, the minimum expectation is that dal and chokha should be sufficient. But here, the dal was so less that it got finished with just the baati itself, and the chokha quantity was also very limited. Because of this, the rice remained completely untouched — simply because there was no dal or chokha left to eat it with. This defeats the whole purpose of serving a thali. When we asked for even a small amount of extra chokha, they refused, saying it wasn’t included. For a thali, this felt very unreasonable and disappointing. The service was slow and careless, adding to the frustration. Overall, the experience felt unworthy of the price, and the portioning logic, especially for baati–dal–chokha, was completely off. Not recommended, especially if you expect a proper and balanced thali.

Best place for your UP'S most famous dish LITTI CHOKHA, atmosphere is very good old nostalgia village like interior, best place for family outing, fresh and healthy food, special baati chokha thali is a must order, service is also fabulous, staff members behavior was nice and gentle.... If u want to eat Baati Chokka so then came here..... Best Baati Chokka resturant in Gorakhpur... ❤👍🏻
