An average vegitarian restaurant serves wide variety of veg delicacy... Decor, taste and quality are above average.
Agarwal's Pure Veg Restaurant is known in Puri primarily for its location and its specialized menu. Situated very close to the Jagannath Temple (often located around Grand Road/Dolamandap Sahi), it is a major attraction for visitors, especially pilgrims, due to its strict pure-vegetarian, no onion, no garlic policy. Customers consistently praise the quality of the food itself, noting that the satvik (onion/garlic-free) dishes are tasty, and the restaurant offers a wide variety of North Indian, Gujarati, and Rajasthani cuisines. Its proximity to the temple is a huge advantage. The main recurring criticism is the poor service. Very slow service, long waiting times more than 30mins .Cleanliness and hygiene in areas like the washroom should be maintained
At Puri near Jagganath mandir we went for lunch, Ambience was good with decent seating. We started with Manchow and tomato soup. Soup was okay while there was different noodles in Manchow soup which was sev while normally we got fried bread crumbs which was missing. We ordered paneer biryani and ghee rice with dal tadka. While ghee rice and dal taste good but biryani was sticky cooked in regional small rice. Overall taste was okay.
A little bit hard to find of the road is crowded. It is in the basement. Taste was great. It is one of the very few options nearby temple.
I had ordered chilly paneer, tandoori roti and rosted papad. But this is the worste experience in this restaurant. 1st the bring one plate which is having insect in it. Second they bring roasted papad in a plate which is not cleaned and having rice on it.
This is a PURE VEG restaurant. It is calm, air conditioned and with ample seating space and place.to move around. The staff is kind and gentle. The Special Thali was not offered as a minimum group of 15-16 people must be there to order it or something along those lines. The washroom needs cleaning and de-odourization. We ordered Laccha Paratha, Butter Naan, Paneer Masala and Dal fry. The food was very good to taste especially DAL FRY with Naan! The walls are beautifully adorned with Bhagwanji 🙏🏻 Jai Jagganath 🙏🏻
Recently after Darshan of Shree Jagannath I went for my lunch to The Agrawal’s Veg Restaurant VIP road puri . When I entered their wash room it smell very bad . Then I ordered Butter naan , steam rice , paneer masala and kadai mushroom. They used some refined oil or similar type of things in butter naan instead of butter I think so . They served us stale paneer . Rice was not cooked properly . Just waste of money . They just put the dishes on the table they have not time to serve to the customer . At the time of payment when I told them that rice could have better the person who was there on the cash counter said that it’s very rush so that it happen. Is it the right way of communication with customers ? I request please don’t go there .
